Passport Information :
U.S. Passport or passport of any other nationality, must have at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of entry into the country for which VISA has been requested for. If validity period is less than 6 months ETS will renew your passport (Fee's apply).
India Tourist Visa
- Valid passport with 6 months validity remaining
- 1-Visa application form, fully completed and signed ( please fill online and print )
- 2 identical passport size photographs, not more than six months old
- Valid green card or US visa
- Copy of the onward/return journey or itinerary
- Applicants must submit a photocopy with proof of residence/address that matches the address on the visa application exactly. Photocopy of state issued ID (Driver License or ID), or major utility bill (Water, Gas, Electric, Sewage) must be submitted. The following items are not accepted: cell phone bill, credit card statement, bank statement or lease. The address cannot include a P.O. box.
For minors, a parent or guardian proof of address may be submitted instead
- A copy of the birth certificate or school diploma is required
Please note: There should be a gap of at least 2 months between two separate visits to India on a Tourist Visa. For Tourist Visa holders who wish to visit India within 2 months of their last visit, an application for a Permit to re-enter India is necessary.
- The letter must highlight the urgency of the visit and the purpose of the visit must be for recreation/sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives/others (to be specified).
- They may not be engaged in Business Activities/Employment or pursuing studies/research, etc.
In such cases, registration would be required within 14 days of arrival.
5 year and 10 year visas are available only to US citizens under a bilateral arrangement.
All non-US passport holders are only eligible for up to a Six (6) month Tourist visa

- 2 identical recent passport size photographs
- Copy of valid green card or US visa
- Copy of the onward/return journey or itinerary
- Include a letter from the parent sponsoring organization in the United States on company letterhead indicating the nature of the applicant's business, probable duration of stay, validity of visa applied for (1 Year, 5 Year or 10 Year), places and organizations to be visited, and a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses
- A copy of the birth certificate or school diploma is required
